My X/Twitter Account Was Hacked – Here’s What I Learned

I wanted to share something important that happened last week. My social media account was hacked, and it was a wake-up call for me to tighten up my online security. I’m sharing this not to alarm anyone, but to help you stay vigilant and avoid falling into the same trap.

It all started when I noticed a strange post on my profile—something about “coin” that I never wrote. My bio had changed, and a few of my posts were deleted. At first, I was confused, but then I realized what had happened.

I received a DM with a Calendly link to book a call. It seemed normal at first, but something felt off—it asked me to authenticate my account before proceeding. I ignored that gut feeling because I trusted the Calendly name. Big mistake. Shortly after, I started seeing unauthorized activity on my account. That’s when I realized I had fallen for a trick.

I immediately logged out of all devices, revoked app permissions, and made my account private for extra security.
